Vote for Sven Amirian for Haverhill City Council

To the editor:

The City of Haverhill requires new ideas and a fresh perspective and City Council candidate Sven Amirian is just the person to deliver what is needed.

I have known Sven Amirian for over 20 years and over this time I have been continually impressed with his intelligence, desire to succeed and decision making skills.

From founding his first Haverhill based business Silvermane.com while still in college, to his latest venture specializing in eco-friendly and energy-efficient real estate at Boston Green Realty, Sven has always displayed the business savvy to make sound financial decisions.

Another of his strong points is commitment to family and community. With a 5-year-old son and twin girls age 3 ¬½, Sven and his wife, Melanie, keep extremely busy but never lose sight that family is their No. 1 priority.

Having lived his entire life in Haverhill, Sven has had ample opportunity to contribute locally as well. Sven recently served as treasurer for the Winnekenni Foundation for several years, stepping down only when the birth of his twins made time too scarce. He has also participated with the Recycling Committee and Energy Task Force and is an ardent supporter of a citywide, single-stream curbside program.

All of the skills Sven has learned throughout his life prepare him extremely well for a seat on the Haverhill City Council. Haverhill needs his integrity, vision, and dedication.

“A penny for your thoughts!”

Of course there can never be a value affixed to your thoughts and beliefs. This penny is merely a symbol of how a small, seemingly insignificant coin can speak for something much greater. Just as the penny gains power by being combined with other pennies, so do our voices and ideas when added to those of our friends, family and neighbors.

“Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed.” -Abraham Lincoln

I think our elected officials forget this incredibly important concept sometimes. As I  seek a seat on the Haverhill City Council, I will constantly keep in mind that my job is to serve the citizens of this great city and to implement their suggestions and desires.

That is why I am urging you to contact me with your concerns, dreams, and visions for Haverhill. I want to be your voice for the future. Help me make this city realize it’s full potential. I hope I can count on your support in the upcoming election.

Please vote for me, Sven Amirian, for Haverhill City Council on November 8th at the Municipal Election.
